Birthday Sun

"This set is typically used for birthday celebrations for 'A Walk Around the Sun.' All pieces printed on yellow cardstock and laminated. The teacher places the sun in the middle of the circle and then lays the 12 month strips around the sun (this is an ideal time to sing a 'Months of the Year' song. The pictures are coordinated with the Months Timeline (ST11)and correspond with the seasonal colors.) The teacher can light the candle in the middle of the sun and the child holds a globe (not included) to walk around the sun. Each journey around the sun represents one year the child has been on this earth. A sample birthday form is included for the parents to fill out. This will aid the teacher in the celebration discussion.Pieces include: circle, 12 month strips, candle and votive, and birthday paper."
